I haven't gotten all the adjustments I need to really make the pc take off more than it does already. I am having stuttering problems during game play. Downloaded the new driver for my GeForce but that didn't sole the problems. Any ideas?

thanks for the hello's!

yours and all the others I normally play, 3PG EX ect.. Some forums say its a packit send received issue with two of us using the router,

Hmmm, what kind of router?
I was just going to say that our server has been laggy for a couple of weeks now due to some plugins hogging resources. As of yesterday the lag shouldn't be as bad, hopefully.

Turn on net graph or show fps and see if you fps jumps high when you stutter. This used to happen to me. What you have to do is limit your fps to your highest stable value.

The game will stutter and look jerky if your fps jumps instantiously/very breifly to a high fps and then back down.

I don't have a great computer so my stable point is 60 fps. before I used fps_max 60 sometimes when I'm running around it would jump to like 130 or 200 and then back down to 60. Those jumps make it look stuttery and jumpy.

My fps counter fluxuates between 120 and up to the low300's. So I open console and set it to what fps cap? and by the way whats the command for that max_fps_?
thanks for all the help

A generally good command is find

type
find fps

and it will show you all the commands with fps in it.

I think it is something like
fps_max 120

or something like
max_fps 120

I'll have to double check it later.

You can try that find command to find it yourself. I think that default is like 300 or something

The max fps suggestion solved the issue! Thanks guys, I cant tell you how often I was ready to pop an uber and then found my stuttering self dead back at spawn, lol

jdola put your full specs in here plz.
Run multiple games in single player mode and see if you get stutters

cl_showfps 1

Dont limit your fps until you know for sure if its your gpu or connection. net_graph 1 (2 or 3) will give you your latency and spike issues.

Also hop on mumble and talk while doing it for feedback. Always turn vsync off.

But first off...specs :3 Then we can troubleshoot.
