Yo,

My PSU gave up on me, had an FSP-600.

Anyone have a good tip on other brands and what output I would go for.

I was thinking bout an 750-800w, but is it enough?

That's my main issue, since the FSP-600, died on me pretty fast.

I have glanced at Corsair, AXP, OCD & XFX

Any advice are welcome..

Corsair = sexy brand...XFX is good too.

Corsair and XFX are both rebranded Seasonics, really.

I've had my Seasonic PSU for about 2 years now. It's been great, no issues.

I don't really know if you need so much power or not. It really depends on your setup. Just getting high power number does not really mean you are getting a good power supply.

mmm, lets put it like this tyko, if you were running a 600 W, and plan on upgrading soon to some sort of beastly computer i would suggest upping your PSU wattage. But if you don't plan on upgrading, a new 600 W would be fine.

My example, i only need about 850 W's buttttt i use a 1000 W PSU, in the case i want to upgrade because i've still got that 150 W buffer.

I agree with bot.
You should be fine with a quality 600w,
but I would use 650 or even over 700 to have some space for future upgrades.

I always visit this site and read their reviews for power supplies before purchasing a new one.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it:smile:

I read your advice and went for more future proof, soo I now have an 800W PSU........ well that was the biggest they had in the store nearby:huh:, if I wanted a bigger 1 I wouldn't be up and running today.

No classy name or lights either, "Fractal Design, Newton R2"

Well at least they offer a 5 year warranty:blink1: but then I don't think they approve that I installed it by myself:blink1:

Ok, time to fire up some games...... peace
