havin memory sticks of 2bg on a triple channel board for 16 gb or memory sticks of 4gb on dual channel board for 16gb .What are the benefits of the triple channel besides the info a little faster , ps assume that the memory is all the same.

You pretty much covered everything I can think of.. Triple is a bit faster, and you will get a lower mem latency ( which is pretty much just saying its also faster ) Nothing game changing but, yeah.

Beware that triple channel configurations can be finicky, you may not be able to do 2Gx8, you may have to do 2Gx9 or possibly even 2Gx6 or 2Gx12. The cost of 2G sticks is going to be cheaper, and as bot stated, triple channel is technically lower latency/faster but in practicality doesn't matter at all.

As far as I know its currently not worth the money. But i'm pretty ready to upgrade soon with something new.
