I tried making my own server but it somewhat lags.
If anyone has one post here.

This game does indeed look interesting, but I haven't yet picked it up.

Just for anyone thinking of buying the game. Here's how creative you can get. I'm thinking of building a world made for pvp and races.

You need hamachi to play online? Just removed the sale value to me. Such a pain to use.

Not necessarily. Apparently there was (initially) some difficulty with getting connected to various people. However, with the recent patch, they have largely (if not completely) fixed this problem. Nnoodles and I were able to join up on a server that I was hosting without any special needs other than a port forward in the router on 7777.

Its a time waster as is any game. Could be the tv sucking your soul just as well... to each their own i spose.

I'm with heiny on this one.
I don't see the allure of minecraft/terraria but for them to sell like they have, there must be something worthwhile about them.
just collecting resources then building stuff with them....ehhhh
I have watched a bunch of those epic vids on youtube where people have created some pretty amazing stuff...but I can't imagine that everyone goes into minecraft and creates similar epic things seen in those vids...so for most people, they build just 'meh' stuff

As long as you're online with friends playing, its probably not time wasted. But doing that shit alone is the sign of a poor social life.
I cant stand watching television unless its on Discovery/History/Science, etc. I just cant watch stupid reality shows anymore or a lot of the normal shows. Just stupid writing and bad plots. <3

I disagree. 100%. With that logic it would be the same as saying going to the gym is a sign of a poor social life, sure you getting a work out, but its not worth while unless your doing it with someone else. A better example would maybe be someone that enjoys hiking alone. To you it might seem like a poor social lifestyle, but what they're getting out of it is enjoyment, relaxation, and an escape from regular living. My point is, just because you can't see what some people get out of doing certain activities in their life, doesn't exactly means its a waste of God's gift.
:owever, I believe everything should be in moderation, no matter what your hobbies of lifestyles.

Well working out alone in a gym you're still working out. Sitting alone at home playing minecraft isnt even that constructive. In the end you can build something awesome to be proud of. I think you hit on the relaxation part that fits it best.

I think terraria is pretty boss yo.
It has this exciting music and more mob action that makes minecraft look like its on peaceful mode all the time.
