My headset was making some crackly noises so I was fiddling with the cord and now the mic doesn't work at all. I was thinking though, since the actual speakers on the headset work great, that maybe I could save some money instead of buying a whole new headset and just buy a regular stand alone microphone. As a temporary measure I'm using the Playstation Eye as a microphone.
I need some suggestions anyways for either stand alone mics or headsets, I'm not buying another Creative Fatal1ty, I love this thing but it lasted less than a year, time to try a new brand. I have no loyalty to a company when something they make doesn't last.
