I was wondering if we were going to use some of those as well. I'm all for new stuff, especially if its shown in a tantalizingly cool screenshot. How can you resist that?

Unfortunately, we won't be playing the contest maps until Valve addresses the custom particle glitch (pyro flames look like blocks, rockets have a hazy trail, etc during a stock map) that affects all servers.
I wanted to add plr_nightfall, when we playtested the map, it was well received, but I believe all the contest map except plr_solitude, use some form of custom particles.

yeah, that happened once that i remember on our server, twas trippy.
